Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Zeta Pi Chapter
Chapter History
Chartered February 18, 1939, Beta Phi Chapter was the original and only Delta chapter in the state of Colorado, with both collegiate and alumnae members. Years later our first Colorado Sorors decided that a collegiate chapter was needed to cater to the needs of the undergraduates. Beta Phi was then split into two seperate chapters: Zeta Pi and Denver Alumnae.
On May 10th, 1969, our beloved Zeta Pi was chartered by 15 extraodinary women.
As we come up on our 38 year anniversary, we are proud to see that Zeta Pi has grown to cover the campuses of CU Boulder, CU Denver, DU, Metro, Johnson & Wales University, Colorado College, and the Colorado School of Mines.
A unique part of our chapters history is also the beginning of yet another chapter's story. On April 26, 2003, Tau Lambda chapter was chartered by nine Zeta Pi Sorors. Now, we work side-by-side with our Tau Lambda Sorors as they service the campuses of Colorado State University and University of Northern Colorado at Greeley.
